How to Use This Website
If you’re reading this, then you’re most likely new to the world of web design. You’ve probably
always wanted to try your hand at developing a site of your own, but felt overwhelmed by the
complexity of choices out there... all the confusing jargon and talk of complex HTML, JavaScript, CSS
etc. It can be terribly intimidating.
Well, take a deep breath and relax because you’ve come to the right place. I suffered the same
frustrations when I was starting out. To cut a long story short; I battled for a long time, searching
for information and trying out various programs. I was close to giving up, but then I discovered Xara
Web Designer. It was such a breath of fresh air! Finally, I had found a program that gave me the
power, freedom and flexibility to design top quality websites quite easily. More about this later...
With this site, I aim to show you what I’ve learned, what pitfalls there are as a web-publisher, how to
avoid them and above all, how to build websites yourself that you always thought were “only for the
professionals”.
The internet is such an exciting place, because you never know what you might come across. The
web can teach you whatever you want or need to know, and best of all, in the hands of an
imaginative and skilled person, it can become a tool of limitless possibility. I aim to equip you with
the knowledge you need to unleash your full potential.
